Confident Women

I am sharing this article written by Jake Smiths (I believe it was in a New York Tech article I saw on the Microsoft website).

This article resonated with me because I want to share these same beliefs with others and try to be the strong, confident woman I know I am and deserve. (Did that make sense?)  Anyway, it is all I can do to not make some minor corrections and adjustments to this article, but since I am taking directly from the article, I left it alone.

Anyway, thank you, Jake Smiths, for this article and reminder.

Confident Women Secure in Their Own Skin Often Display These 6 Behaviors, Jake Smiths

Confidence is not about competing with others but about owning your strengths and embracing your uniqueness. Confident women exude a sense of self-assurance that goes beyond comparison and competition. Here are six behaviors that confident women often display when they are secure in themselves:

Celebrating Others' Success

Confident women understand that another person's success does not diminish their own achievements. Instead of feeling threatened by others' accomplishments, they celebrate and support them, recognizing that success is not a zero-sum game.

Owning Their Imperfections

Rather than striving for perfection, confident women embrace their flaws and imperfections. They understand that vulnerability is a sign of strength and are not afraid to show their authentic selves, flaws and all.

Setting Boundaries

Confident women know their worth and are not afraid to set boundaries to protect their time, energy, and emotional well-being. They communicate their needs clearly and assertively, without feeling guilty for prioritizing themselves.

Speaking Up

Whether it's expressing their opinions, advocating for themselves, or standing up for what they believe in, confident women are not afraid to speak up. They assert themselves with poise and confidence, knowing that their voice matters.

Seeking Growth, Not Validation

Instead of seeking external validation or approval from others, confident women focus on personal growth and self-improvement. They set goals that align with their values and aspirations, constantly striving to become the best version of themselves.

Supporting Other Women

Confident women lift each other up rather than tearing each other down. They cultivate a sense of camaraderie and solidarity among women, recognizing the power of collaboration and collective empowerment.
