Celebrate Your Style!

I used to think that as we age, we should dress conservatively by covering up more skin and wearing longer hemlines. Essentially, I believed our style should become frumpier and less interesting as we age, regardless of trends, socioeconomic status, or physical health. I thought age was the sole determining factor for what we wore.

Wow, I couldn't have been more wrong, but you know what? I was actually thrilled to be proven wrong! It was such a pleasant surprise!

Fashion is not just about the latest trends; it's a way of self-expression. It reflects who you are and what you want to say to the world. Fashion is about being comfortable in your own skin and showing the world the real you.

As we age, our personalities and experiences change, and so does our fashion sense. Dressing appropriately for your age is not about following societal norms; it's about embracing the person you have become and dressing in a way that makes you feel confident and comfortable.

Your clothing choices can communicate much about you to the world and help you convey the message you want. Whether you want to show that you are successful, authoritative, sophisticated, or charming, dressing appropriately for your age can help you achieve that.

No matter your age or socioeconomic status, you have the power to create a wardrobe that makes you feel amazing. You can confidently choose your unique style and express yourself through your clothes. Whether you prefer a more classic or trendy look, the most important thing is to feel comfortable and confident in what you wear.

So, don't be afraid to experiment with your style, celebrate your accomplishments, and show the world the real you! Remember, fashion is not just about what you wear; it's also about how you feel in what you wear.

I prefer a classic, casual, or even the occasional chic look. Even when I was younger and in good shape, I still dressed conservatively-classic-chic and was often overdressed for most occasions. It made me feel comfortable and confident, which still holds true today, although the shoe height has decreased!

So, go ahead and embrace your unique style and let it shine!

I have noticed I like (and wear) a lot of striped clothing!
