Challenges

Today’s weather forecast predicts storms, and I suspect this might be contributing to my current funk. But I shouldn't be feeling down, and here's why: Yesterday, I received some exciting news—I was accepted into the Loft Ambassador affiliate program! I was thrilled, pleasantly surprised, and a little nervous because I wasn’t expecting it at all.

Starting this weekend, I'll be posting fun videos featuring Loft clothing try-ons, deals, must-haves, and more. Despite this exciting news, I have a splitting headache that seems to encompass my entire head, neck, and shoulders. Thankfully, Rob stepped in this morning to handle all my usual tasks, knowing that I didn’t sleep well and wasn't feeling my best. He’s truly amazing and even took care of waking my mom and distributing her pills.

The only thing I can think of to do to aid in headache relief is lie down on ice packs (maybe even alternate ice and heat) and listen to an audiobook. But I feel if I do that, the things needing tending this afternoon—like my mom’s emergency dental appointment—will not get done or will become more difficult. I need to be at my best when I get my mom, so she doesn’t push all my buttons, and my ability to mitigate or diffuse is compromised. When you find yourself in a similar situation (i.e., headache, not feeling your best), what do you do to get past it?

Be happy, healthy and safe!
