Back to reality

Wow! What a week.

I have returned home from my one-week San Diego vacation. While it's nice to be home and in the comfort of my own bed, I miss that San Diego weather! The cool breeze, the ocean air—there’s just something magical about it.

One of the stops I forgot to write about in my last blog was our visit to La Jolla. We had a lovely lunch at an outdoor cafe, soaking in the perfect weather and ocean views. Afterward, we took a stroll along the beach and watched the families of sea lions spread across nearly every inch of sand within sight. It was such a beautiful scene—watching them bask in the sun, play in the water, and interact with each other. The visit was wonderful, providing not just relaxation but also plenty of exercise.

Spending time with my sister for our dad's birthday made the trip even more special. Holly took charge of transportation, making sure we stayed busy and explored as much as possible. I loved every moment of it.

My flight back home was smooth, and I have to say, the food served was absolutely magnificent. It took all my willpower not to lick the plate clean!

Now that I'm back, it feels great to be with my sweet husband and pup again—I missed them so much. We got back into our routine right away, even taking our evening walk after dinner tonight. There’s something so grounding about getting back into familiar habits.

I’ve also been spending some quality time updating my Linktree and Instagram accounts. However, I haven’t given much attention to my YouTube channel yet—I have quite a bit to pull together and upload. That’s on my to-do list for the coming days.

On another note, we haven’t had any bites on Mom’s house yet. While that’s a little disappointing, I’m not in a huge hurry. I truly want the right person to live there—someone who will cherish the home as much as she did. Fingers crossed that the perfect family comes along soon!

Lastly, I’ve been thinking a lot about revisiting The Secret. I’ve had multiple reminders of it recently, and I feel like it’s time to dive back in. Positive thinking really does have an impact on our lives, and I want to be intentional about embracing that mindset again.

Here's to a new week ahead, full of possibility and positive energy!

Be happy, healthy, and safe!
