Church Women's Retreat – Part 2

What a weekend!

This retreat was truly a blessing—I had such a wonderful time connecting with incredible women, each with her own story, wisdom, and faith journey. It reminded me that no matter our age or stage in life, we always have something to learn from one another. Life isn’t meant to be navigated alone, and hearing different perspectives, experiences, and real-life examples was both eye-opening and uplifting.

The setting was absolutely beautiful—peaceful, scenic, and full of activities, both on land and on the water. Nature added its own special touch with deer, rabbits, and little critters keeping us entertained. The retreat center itself was perfect, with spacious rooms (yes, we each had our own bed!), and a thoughtfully designed bathroom setup that made sharing a space with five other women surprisingly easy. I could absolutely see myself returning here, maybe even for a family reunion someday.

One of the most meaningful takeaways from the weekend was the bond I formed with the five women in my small group. We laughed, shared, and supported one another in such a special way that we’ve decided to keep it going—meeting once a month to check in and continue growing together.

Of course, coming home meant diving back into reality—house cleaning, laundry, and catching up on the weekend’s events with Rob and Lucy. But my heart feels full, my spirit refreshed, and I’m so grateful for this time of connection and renewal.

Be happy, healthy, and safe!
